The attendance of the Warrior at Heart Ministry is significantly growing at our weekly meetings camps, retreats, and events. As a result, it’s time to prepare for the short and long-term as we are being blessed with the overflow. There are several options, but having our own facility seems best.
Over the last two years, we have been preparing for this day by restructuring and tweaking things internally in order to be in alignment with God’s Will. We are now in a season to embrace the words of Proverbs 24:27, which says, “Prepare your work outside; get everything ready for yourself in the field, and after that build your house.” (ESV)
We are asking you to join us in prayer on whether we are to move ahead in asking God to provide land and a building and, if so, where is it to be? As you pray, remember, your requests should have God-sized vision. The following are some of the specs that should be considered in your prayers:
BUILDING SPECS
- We need a building free and clear – This can be accomplished by receiving existing land & a building or by cash donation to purchase what we need.
- Ongoing overhead expenses of utilities, taxes, insurance, and upkeep would need to be reasonable
- Building can be a commercial structure or a renovated home in the proper zoning
- Best location would be Grand Junction area or between Clifton and Grand Junction
- Building should be in a fairly high traffic, centrally located area with easy access
- Ample parking (parking lot and street parking) for 75 to 100 vehicles
- To be used as a multi-use facility to accommodate weekly meetings, couples events, training, events, etc. and non-affiliated organizational use.
- Floor plan stipulations:
- Large meeting area with potential to seat 150+
- 2+ smaller meeting rooms, plus storage area
- Full kitchen area One Roof One Heart
