WAHM Rabbit Hunt on Saturday, January 17th
We'll meet at McDonald's in Fruita, ready to leave together at 7:00am for the Douglas Pass area.
Bring a sack lunch, but we will also have a pot of chili available. A donation gets you chili, in a bowl, with a spoon. Bring your own drink.
Expect snow and cold, so bring really warm hunting clothes and boots. A daypack would also be a good idea to hold your rabbits and cleaning gear, Powerbars, water, matches, etc. The Meeker area has reportedly got lots of rabbits.
Use whatever legal hunting method you like but you will need a 2008 Small Game license (which is good this year until March 31, 2009), or a 2009 Small Game license. The habitat stamps are good until Mar 31 also.
A 1-day Small Game license is $11.
Kids under 18 can get a Youth Small Game license for $1.
A Hunter Education Class card is required to buy any of these licenses (if you were born after Jan 1, 1949), including the Youth Small Game license.
